One of the companies is the Plastic Soup Foundation. The mission of the Plastic Soup Foundation is: ‘no plastic waste in our water’. They try to let people know, what and how harmful the plastic soup is. They do this by organizing campaigns. In these campaigns, they tell you how how can help the plastic soup. For example what you can better uses as body products and which not.

The Seabin Group
Another company is the Seabin Group. The Seabins Group purpose, is to live in a world without the need for seabins. Their idea was, if there are rubbish bins on land, why not in the water? With this in mind, they made it possible and made them all over the world.
The plastic Soup surfer
In the company, the plastic Soup surfer, Merijn Tinga wants to stop the increasing plastic pollution of the marine environment. His campaigns are aimed to reduce at preventing plastic in the sea. The surfboard he used for this expedition is made from the plastic waste. Tinga is a trained biologist, has a career as a visual artist and in now a full time plastic activist.
Plastic Whale
Plastic whale is the first professional plastic fishing company in the world. They have only one mission: make the world’s waters plastic-free and create value from plastic waste. In 2011 they started creating a boat made of the plastic waste. All this plastic comes from the canals of Amsterdam of the Rotterdam harbour. The company has also made a boardroom table, a chair, lamps and acoustic wall panels.
5 Gyres
The 5 gyres institute is a non-profit organization that focuses on reducing plastic pollution by focusing on primary research. 5 gyres was the first organization to research plastic pollution in all five main subtropical gyres and first to determine how much plastic is on the surface of the world’s oceans. They also discovered that plastic micro beads were polluting our waterways. The company informed lots of other companies about all the information and facts they discovered.
