We have to have another trial to get rid of most plastic waste is the water. Of course it’s important that the soups won’t get bigger, but there also have to be solutions which removes the plastic waste. Underneath are a few possible solutions:
The solutions
It could be, that if there comes a fine on throwing away plastic everywhere except for the bins, people will throw away less plastic, because they don’t want to pay. If there come cameras around shops and on street lights, this law could be controlled better by the police.
Maybe it is possible that if we create a gigantic waterproof robot fish, which only eats plastics, the microplastics will also get removed from the sea. The robot fish will have a camera in his eyes, so when he sees the plastics, he will eat it. The cameras are also made, so that the fish can also see the smallest microplastics, which a human being can’t see without a microscope. It will also give a vibration in the sea which we can‘t hear, but the sea animals, like a shark, can. This is because otherwise maybe a shark will eat the robot or part of it. The fish has a sensor, so we can always see where the fish swims. If the ‘stomach’ of the fish gets full, we also get a sign, and the fish is being emptied. If this works, we can make more of these fishes and place them all around the oceans.

If we start putting a magnetic material into the plastic bottles, bags, and all microplastics, it is maybe possible to remove them from the sea with a huge magnet. If all microplastics have a magnetic chemical in them, and they will end up in the water, this idea will help remove the plastics and especially microplastics. The magnetic material will be a liquid which gets into the plastic if the plastic is being made. If they now end up in the ocean, they can also be removed with a other magnet. This huge magnet flys once a month above the water and removes the plastics from the oceans and seas.
